SC Teacher Charged After 7 pounds of Marijuana Found
CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) _ A Charleston County school teacher has been charged with possession with intent to distribute after authorities found seven pounds of marijuana in her home. Local media outlets report that 34-year-old Faith Kathleen Jones-Paulus of Johns Island surrendered to deputies Monday. It was not immediately known if she had an attorney. Jones-Paulus is a teacher at Haut Gaup Middle School and lives within a half mile of the school. She is charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute near a school and with possession with intent to distribute marijuana. She is on paid administrative leave from the district. An incident report says the marijuana was found when her house was searched after Jones-Paulus’ husband was arrested on a gun charge.
