Body Found on Highway

(WOLO) GREER,S.C., — GREER, S.C. (AP) _ Spartanburg County deputies are investigating after finding a body on the side of the road. Authorities tell local media outlets that they got a call Saturday about someone lying down on the side of East Phillips Road near South Highway 14 in Greer. Deputies said the man was unresponsive when they arrived. Spartanburg County Coroner Rusty Clevenger says 48-year-old Michael Jones of Greer was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities are still investigating. An autopsy was scheduled for Sunday, and toxicology results are pending. (Source: Associated press)
