Small plane crashes northeast of Atlanta

CHAMBLEE, Ga. (AP) — Officials say a small plane has crashed near DeKalb-Peachtree Airport.

Federal Administration spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen said the crash occurred Monday night two miles southeast of the airport northeast of Atlanta.

Bergen says the plane was en route to DeKalb-Peachtree from Hilton Head, S.C., when it lost power and went down.

There is no word yet on injuries.
