Woman Shot, Killed at Traffic Light in Summerville

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (AP) _ Authorities say a woman is dead after she was shot while waiting in her car at a traffic light in Summerville. Local media outlets report that the shooting happened shortly before 2 p.m. Thursday. Dorchester County Coroner Chris Nesbit says the woman was going to meet her son for lunch when she was shot in the neck by another driver in what was apparently a random shooting. The coroner has not released the name of the 57-year-old victim and police did not immediately release any additional information.
