Child Drowns in Aiken County

AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) — Authorities say a three-year-old boy drowned in a pool at his aunt’s home over the weekend. According to family members Michael Melton Junior was playing outside with other family members when he crawled under a fence surrounding the pool. The initial investigation finds no evidence of foul play or trauma to the child, who family members say was unable to swim. An autopsy is planned for later today.
