N. Charleston Police Officer Charged with Murder

N. Charleston, S.C. (WOLO)–A North Charleston police officer is charged with murder. A spokesperson for SLED says Patrolman Michael Slager is charged with murder in the shooting death of Walter Scott during an April 4th traffic stop. Slager’s attorney says his client felt threatened when the driver tried to overpower him and take his taser. ABC News has obtained video of the shooting which clearly shows Walter Scott being shot while he is running away. Slager’s attorney says his client feels like he followed all proper procedures before resorting to deadly force.
