Teen Allegedly brings Gun to School

(WOLO) PICKENS, S.C., — A Pickens High School student is charged with having a loaded gun at school. Multiple media outlets report the 15-year-old male student was arrested Friday morning after another student told a school resource office about a threat made. Pickens County schools spokesman John Eby says the arrested teen had threatened a female classmate in a text message Thursday night. School officials questioned him and found a gun in his boot. Pickens Police Chief Rodney Gregory says the .38-caliber revolver had three bullets in it. The student is charged for possessing a firearm on school property. He was being held at the juvenile detention center in Liberty. Eby says that by school policy, a student who brings a gun to school is recommended for expulsion. (Source: Associated Press)
