Former Mayor Coble Taken to Hospital

Columbia, S.C. (WOLO)–Former Columbia Mayor Bob Coble was rushed to the hospital Wednesday. A spokesperson for Nexsen Pruet, the law firm for which Coble serves as a lobbyist, says Coble was not feeling well at the state house and was taken by ambulance to Providence Hospital where doctors are tests, performing including a heart catheterization, to check for blockages. Shortly after first responders transported Coble from the capitol building grounds, the House of Representatives paused for a moment of silence for him. We are told at this hour, Coble is in good spirits with family and friends by his side.
