Last Day to Submit Art to Richland Library Percent for Art Project

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — There’s a deadline quickly approaching. Tuesday is the last day the Richland Library Percent for Art Project will accept submissions. The purpose of the program is to commission works of public art that add meaning and uniqueness to the community. Organizers say they’re looking for art that will humanize and invigorate public spaces. You have until 4:30 Tuesday afternoon to turn in your work. To apply be sure to submit all of the following required application materials: 1. Statement of interest describing experience or interest in public art (250 words max.) 2. Resume with description of career accomplishments 3. Artist Statement (250 words max.) 4. At least six images of past work in the medium of application (painting or sculpture, for example). Upload images in jpeg format with a maximum resolution at or less than 1024 x 768 pixels. Up to ten images my be uploaded.
