Ellington Cousins Trying to Stay Healthy

UPDATED 10/27/11 COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Bruce and Andre Ellington are both going through the injury bug this week. Bruce, a Gamecock freshman receiver, is battling off a slight hamstring pull from Monday’s practice. Ellington is number one on Steve Spurrier’s depth chart for running the “Wild Cat” formation. Spurrier says he should be ready to go on Saturday at Tennessee. Andre, Clemson’s junior starting tailback and older cousin of Bruce, hurt his left ankle in the North Carolina game last week. Tiger head coach Dabo Swinney said after practice on Thursday that it isn’t anything too severe. Ellington is officially listed as questionable and will not start the Georgia Tech game. D.J. Howard is expected to start at tailback. The Ellington cousins are both from Moncks Corner, South Carolina.
