2-county chase leads to 5 crashes in SC Upstate
SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) — Authorities say three burglary suspects led police on a chase through Greenville and Spartanburg counties, crashing into five different vehicles during the pursuit.
The vehicle was found abandoned in Spartanburg County on Thursday, but investigators say the suspects were arrested near Roebuck a short time later.
The chase began in Mauldin when an officer determined a pickup truck was stolen. The vehicle sped up when the officer turned on his blue lights.
The chase continued mostly on surface streets through the two counties. State troopers say the truck collided with five other vehicles as officers tried to follow it.
Authorities say additional charges are pending against the men, who are already facing several burglary charges in Spartanburg County.
