Plane of missing SC man found near Moncks Corner

MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (AP) — The wreckage of a plane belonging to a Berkeley County man missing for two weeks has been located near the county airport near Moncks Corner.

The Berkeley County Sheriff’s office says a body was found on the plane.

The owner of the plane, 65-year-old Kenneth Tollett, was last seen Oct. 13 on his way to the airport. He regularly flew out of state and his family reported him missing on Sunday.

The sheriff’s department said it would issue a statement later. County Coroner Bill Salisbury was out on a call and wasn’t immediately available for comment.
