Mo-ped driver dies in wreck with 18-wheeler

LITTLE RIVER, S.C. (AP) — Authorities say a 51-year-old man has died after his mo-ped collided with an 18-wheeler in Horry County.

Investigators said Joseph Junior Keel was pronounced dead at the hospital not long after the wreck Thursday afternoon near Little River.

Troopers say the tractor trailer was trying to pass Keel’s mo-ped when the crash happened. The Highway Patrol is still investigating the incident.
