Same gun used in SC boat ramp killing and suicide
SENECA, S.C. (AP) — Investigators have determined the gun used to kill a teen at an Oconee County boat ramp was the same weapon used by a woman to kill herself as officers asked questions about the man’s death.
Deputies said Friday that ballistics tests done by the State Law Enforcement Division made the match.
Authorities say 19-year-old Tylor Stewart was found dead at the boat ramp Sunday night, shot once in the back.
When investigators went to the house of Stewart’s girlfriend in Pickens on Monday to gather information, officers say 42-year-old Laura Gray went to the bathroom and shot herself.
Deputies haven’t discussed any relationship between Stewart and Gray.
