Governor Nikki Haley signs Confederate Flag Bill

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Governor Nikki Haley Thursday afternoon signed a bill to remove the Confederate Flag from the State House grounds. In a signing ceremony on the 2nd floor of the State House the Governor was met with applause. Lawmakers and former South Carolina Governors, including David Beasley and Jim Hodges were on hand to witness the signing. Haley says “It’s a great day in South Carolina.” After the signing, the flag will be removed in a ceremony at 10am Friday morning.
