COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)–To commemorate what would have been his 42nd birthday, the family of Clementa Pinckney has established a foundation in honor of the late Pastor and State Senator. Pinckney was among nine victims killed in a mass shooting at an AME Church in Charleston last month. Jennifer Pinckney, the Senator’s Widow says ” We are answering God‘s call to continue my husband‘s work and that starts with establishing a charitable foundation in his honor.” The mission of the foundation is to support religious, educational and charitable causes that the late Senator supported. Senator Pinckney’s longtime colleague, Senator Gerald Malloy said the foundation is a way to carry on his legacy. To donate, visit www.senatorpinckney.org.
