“Stuff-a-Cruiser”, “Stuff-a-Bus” events a success in Richland County

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Over the weekend, Richland County School District Two collected more than 60 big boxes of school supplies and over $1200 in cash donations at three Walmart sites located in the district. The cash will be used to buy more school supplies. Richland School District Two Director of Strategic Partnerships Martha Jones says the supplies will go directly to students who may need some extra support getting the tools they need to be successful in school. Richland School District Two students who are classified as homeless and/or who live in temporary conditions with other family members will receive the assistance they need to ensure their education does not have to suffer as a result of their circumstances. The event was made possible by Richland County Councilman Jim Manning along with members of Richland County Council, Richland School District Two, the Decker Boulevard Business Coalition, and the Richland County Sheriff‘s Department.
