Game Day: Battle of the Carolinas

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– It’s Game Day. The University of South Carolina Gamecocks and the University North Carolina Tar Heels go head to head tonight in a 6pm Match up in Charlotte. Game Day Facts from USC: The Gamecocks roster features seven players who played high school ball in North Carolina. The rivalry began in 1903, and the last time the Gamecocks and Tar Heels met was in 2013, when the Gamecocks won 27-10. While it may surprise some, Gamecocks feel right at home in Charlotte. After all, some of the university‘s best and brightest students hail from Charlotte, and it boasts the university‘s largest and most active alumni club outside of the capital city here in South Carolina.
