Deputies: Sumter man pokes wife with machete

SUMTER, S.C. (WOLO) — Deputies with the Sumter County Sheriff’s Department have arrested a man who allegedly poked his wife with a machete. 27-year-old Spencer Osteen is charged with first degree domestic violence and kidnapping after he took a machete and poked the female victim in her neck, stomach and other body parts over the weekend. Authorities say that on or between September 19 and September 20, Osteen assaulted the victim, knocking out her tooth and causing bruises to her body after she was struck in the back by a piece of wood. Osteen was arrested on September 24.
