Marion Man Killed With Ice Pick in $14 Robbery
MARION, S.C. (AP) _ Authorities say a teen has been charged with murder after he killed a 66-year-old Marion man in his home with an ice pick in a robbery that got him $14. Marion County Sheriff Mark Richardson said 18-year-old Shaquille Davis was arrested Wednesday in the Sept. 21 death of Walter Prince. Deputies found Prince bleeding from his mouth and nose in his bed, and investigators determined he was stabbed numerous times with the ice pick. Later that day, firefighters put out a blaze at Prince’s home. Along with murder, deputies say Davis is also charged with first-degree arson and first-degree murder. He was awaiting a bond hearing and it wasn’t clear if he had an attorney.
