Garcia Invited to Play in All-Star Game

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Former Gamecock quarterback, Stephen Garcia, isn’t quite done with football yet. He’s been invited to play in the Astro Turf NFLPA Collegiate Bowl in Los Angeles on January 21. The bowl game is for eligible players for the upcoming NFL Draft. Stephen’s father, Gary, told the South Carolina Sports Talk Radio Network that outside this game, his son has drawn interest from a few arena football teams. Stephen’s father also went ahead to tell the radio network that the Garcia family will not attend the Clemson game for senior night. It is unknown if Stephen and his family were invited. Garcia is currently working out at his home in Tampa, Florida. The game on January 21 will be played at the Home Depot Center in Los Angeles.
