“Rebirth of a Village” event looks to help young men be set for success in the future

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– An event looking to teach young men how to become effective community leaders is happening this weekend. The “Rebirth of a Village” event is Saturday at the Busby Street Community Center at 1736 Busby Street from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Officials are inviting young men ages 13-21.

The event will provide them with multiple opportunities like learning about trade skills, connecting with mentors and learning about voter registration. Richland County deputies and Columbia Police will also be at the event.

There will be more than $500 in giveaways.
