Lexington Two extending free breakfast and lunch program into the summer

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Lexington School District Two will continue its free breakfast and lunch distribution program into the summer. The meals will be available at distribution sites and delivered by bus.

Meals are available to any children ages 18 and under, beginning June 21. If the student is not present at meal pick-up, the parent must have that child’s student ID number. If the student is not a Lexington Two student, another form of identification for the child will be necessary.

Meals can be picked up at Cayce Elementary and Riverbank Elementary School between 11 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays from June 21-August 12. School officials say Monday meal bundles will include breakfast and lunch for Monday-Wednesday and Thursday’s bundle will have breakfast and lunch for Thursday-Sunday.

You can also pick up meals for your student at Mount Tabor Lutheran Church from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between June 21-August 12. Officials say the meal bundles on Monday will have breakfast and lunch for Monday and Tuesday, Wednesday’s bundle will have meals for Wednesday and Thursday and Thursday’s bundle will contain meals for Thursday-Sunday.

Officials say the July 4 holiday will be observed on July 5 and no meals will be distributed that day.

Monday-Thursday from June 21-August 5, officials say school buses will be making deliveries throughout the community, delivering meals on the following days:

  • Monday:  Breakfast and lunch

  • Tuesday: Breakfast and  lunch for Tuesday and Wednesday

  • Wednesday: Breakfast and  lunch for Thursday and Friday

  • Thursday: Breakfast and  lunch for Friday and Saturday

Parents and guardians are encouraged to pre-register for curbside delivery at www.paypams.com.
