DHEC: Almost half of eligible South Carolinians have gotten at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose

COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control says the number of fully vaccinated people in the state has increased, but its still not enough.

During a news conference Wednesday afternoon, DHEC announced nearly 50% of eligible South Carolinians have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Officials say that is an improvement, but they are still pleading with those who have not yet been vaccinated to get those shots.
