SC State hires former SLED director, won’t say why

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) — Former State Law Enforcement Director Reggie Lloyd has been hired by South Carolina State University.
The school told The Times and Democrat of Orangeburg that (http://bit.ly/uMsCwy ) Lloyd will offer the university guidance and support on various legal issues. School officials refused to specify what issues Lloyd might handle.
Lloyd has moved into private practice in Rock Hill since leaving SLED in June. He was South Carolina’s top cop for three years and served as U.S. Attorney for the state from 2006 to 2008.
