7 Occupy Charleston defendants reach deal.
CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Seven members of the Occupy Charleston protest have reached a deal with prosecutors on their arrest on trespassing charges in November.
The agreement Tuesday calls for city attorneys to drop the charges against the protesters if they stay out of trouble for six months.
Ten protesters were arrested for refusing to leave a city park at the 11 p.m. closing time. .
Attorneys for two other men said they want a jury trial.
One demonstrator pleaded no contest in November.
Occupy Charleston attorney Chris Inglese says the agreements will allow the protesters to continue their work.
