Dogs stolen from Bamberg animal shelter
BAMBERG, S.C. (AP) — A board member at a Bamberg County animal shelter says several dogs have been stolen from an animal shelter and she worries the animals might be used in fights.
WIS-TV reported (http://bit.ly/wOmlo7) four dogs have been taken from the Mary Ann Morris Animal Society, a no-kill shelter in Bamberg.
Two of the stolen dogs are pit bulls and one is a pit bull mix.
Board member Ruthie Rish says she worries the dogs will be used in fighting unless they are recovered.
Rish says the shelter is raising money to offer a reward for the return of the dogs. She says the shelter also hopes to install security cameras and an alarm system.
