Man Accused of Shooting Pregnant Girlfriend

Newberry, SC (WOLO)– A man accused of shooting his pregnant girlfriend in the face is in custody. Newberry County deputies say Nigel Thomas turned himself in at 2:30 Wednesday morning. Sheriff Lee Foster says Thomas was arguing with his girlfriend at their home in the Silverstreet community Tuesday afternoon when he shot her in the face with a small caliber pistol. Thomas is charged with attempted murder.
