Heat advisory issued for parts of eastern SC
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — High temperatures and humidity continue to threaten eastern South Carolina.
The National Weather Service on Wednesday issued a heat advisory for nine counties.
Forecasters say the heat will be dangerous from noon until 7 p.m. in the northeastern corner of the state, where the heat index could reach 107.
The warning is in effect until 8 p.m. in the Charleston area, where the index could read 110.
