COLUMBIA, SC (WOLO)– Drivers hitting the road home from their spring break travels are seeing some relief at the pumps. GasBuddy says the average price for a gallon of gas in South Carolina dropped nearly five cents, to $3.72 per gallon. While it may still seem high, that’s still more than 20 cents per gallon lower than a month ago. The average price for a gallon of gas in Columbia sits at $3.65.
ABC NEWS– The Biden administration is being criticized for an apparent about face on a campaign promise. President Biden had said he would halt oil and gas development on public lands once in office. Now, amid pressure to lower gas prices and an unfavorable court ruling, the White House is announcing new leases for drilling on federal lands.
