Two men rob store, assault clerk
LEXINGTON, S.C.(WOLO) – Lexington County Sheriff‘s Department investigators needs the community’s help to identify two suspects in an armed robbery at a West Columbia convenience store. According to officials, two masked black males robbed the Pitt Stop at 125 Rolling Meadows Lane in West Columbia about 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 28. The suspects allegedly demanded money from the register and assaulted the clerk before leaving the store on foot. Exterior security cameras captured images of a dark Ford Mustang in the store‘s parking lot before the suspects went inside. The first suspect is about 5‘6″ to 5‘8″ and about 160 pounds. He was wearing black coveralls, dark shoes and a black long sleeve shirt wrapped around his face. He was armed with a handgun. The second suspect was a black male about six feet tall and about 160 pounds. He was wearing black coveralls, white shoes and a black mask or shirt to cover his face. He was armed with a black and brown AK-47 with a banana clip.
