Carolina quarterback Jake Bentley, who went 19-32 for 239 yards, 2 TD’s and an interception, was honored with the Outback Bowl’s MVP award Monday afternoon, after he rallied the Gamecocks to a 26-19 win over Michigan. Bentley says the trophy will go to his team.

Carolina trailed Michigan 19-3 late into the third quarter, and proceeded to go on a 23-0 run to defeat the Wolverines and win the Outback Bowl on New Year’s Day.

Clarendon Co., S.C. (WOLO)– One inmate is dead after an altercation at a prison in Clarendon County according to officials. A spokesperson for the Department of Corrections says Allen Capers died in the incident. No word on what sparked the fight. According to City officials, starting January 2nd the business offices will be open from 8-30 to 5 pm Monday – Friday.
