Reed Rohlman scored from third base after an error in the 11th inning to give Clemson a 5-4 walkoff win over North Carolina at Doug Kingsmore Stadium on Saturday night. The Tigers, who took 2-0 lead in the series, improved to 16-14 overall and 7-7 in the ACC. The Tar Heels dropped to 17-13 overall and 6-8 in ACC play. It marks Clemson’s first series win over North Carolina since 2005.
All nine Gamecock starters tallied at least one hit as 13th ranked South Carolina belted out 15 hits for afternoon on the way to a 13-7 victory over Mississippi State on Saturday afternoon. Max Schrock had a career-high in hits going 5-for-6 with a pair of RBI and two runs scored. The Gamecocks are 21-11 and 6-6 in the SEC with Mississippi State 21-13 and 5-7 in conference.

The University of South Carolina football team held its second official scrimmage of the spring on an overcast Saturday morning at Williams-Brice Stadium. It was workout number 12 of the 15 allotted spring practices.
The defense had the better of it on Saturday, as the offense was unable to generate any points until the team went into “overtime” situations, with the ball placed on the 25-yard line. From there, Elliott Fry booted a 43-yard field goal, Connor Mitch hooked up with Deebo Samuel on a 29-yard touchdown pass, and Michael Scarnecchia found Matrick Belton on a 5-yard scoring pass.
