Local Golfer Going To Augusta National

This Sunday, Parker Stalvey will get the rare opportunity to compete at Augusta National Golf Club. Even rarer when you consider she’s only 13 years old. And she’s a she.

The Blythewood Middle Schooler will be one of 80 youth golfers competing in the Drive, Chip and Putt Championship. The national finals will air on the Golf Channel from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Stalvey is one of 10 girls competing in the 12-13 age division. She qualified by winning the Mid-Atlantic region.
