USC Spring Practice #10 Recap

The University of South Carolina football team gathered at the new practice facility on Thursday afternoon for its 10th official workout of the spring. The squad practiced in helmets and shoulder pads on another gorgeous spring day in Columbia.

Clemson Mourns Loss Of Bussey

Charlie Bussey, the first Academic All-American in any sport in Clemson athletics history and quarterback of Clemson’s first ACC Championship football team in 1956, died early Thursday morning at his home in Clemson, S.C. at the age of 80. Bussey had suffered in recent months from a lung disease called Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis.

USC Women Head To Final Four

No. 3/4 South Carolina takes on No. 2/2 Notre Dame Sunday at 6:30 p.m. (ET) at Amalie Arena in the program’s first NCAA Final Four appearance. Both teams have just two losses to go with their regular-season and conference tournament titles.

The University of South Carolina football team will wrap up its spring drills on Saturday, April 11, with the annual Garnet & Black Spring Game. Admission is free for the noon contest at Williams-Brice Stadium.

Dabo Likes Tiger Defense At Scrimmage

Dabo Swinney said his defense was ahead of the offense during Clemson’s second stadium scrimmage on Wednesday afternoon. The Tigers worked for two hours and ran nearly 100 plays in perfect weather. It was the last full scrimmage until the Tigers hold their Spring Game on Saturday, April 11 at 2:30 pm in Memorial Stadium on the Clemson campus.

Dozier Scores 14 In All-American Game

P.J. Dozier might be a homegrown Gamecock, but Wednesday night he proved he can play with the best prep players in the country.

Dozier scored 14 points in 20 minutes at the McDonald’s High School All-American Game in Chicago. His West team lost to the East 111-91.
