5 Gamecocks Get Combine Invite

Five former University of South Carolina football players have been invited to participate in the 2015 NFL Combine. The combine will take place from February 17-23 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis and will feature more than 300 top prospects.

Gamecocks Try To Bounce Back

No. 1/2 South Carolina is back at Colonial Life Arena for the first time in two weeks when the Gamecocks (22-1, 10-0 SEC) host LSU (14-9, 8-3 SEC) on Thu., Feb. 12, at 7 p.m. The first 5,000 fans will get a garnet “one.” t-shirt, and All South Federal Credit Union rally towels will be available for the first 8,000 through the turnstiles.

3 Gamecocks Make Midseason Naismith List

Junior Tiffany Mitchell, senior Aleighsa Welch and freshman A’ja Wilson were named to the Naismith Trophy Women’s Midseason 30, the organization announced on Wednesday. With three of the SEC’s five spots, the Gamecocks are one of just four schools with multiple entries. South Carolina and Connecticut lead the way with three each. Four semifinalists will be announced on March 20 before the winner, who is decided by the board of selectors and fan voting, is revealed on April 6.

USC Women’s Cross Country Earns Top GPA

The South Carolina cross country team earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors for the 14th straight year, but this year it is even more special. This year, it has the distinction of holding the top grade point average in the country. It marks the second time the team has achieved the top GPA nationally, with the first coming in 2008.
