Watson Earns 4.0 GPA In Classroom

Freshmen Artavis Scott and Deshaun Watson along with senior Daniel Rodriguez were named to the 2014 All-ACC Academic football team Wednesday. It marked the first time Clemson had a pair of freshmen make the team.

Watson had a 4.0 GPA in the classroom in the fall to match his uniform number. He became the first Tiger quarterback to start at least one game and earn All-ACC Academic honors since 1984, when Mike Eppley accomplished the feat.

Gamecocks Beat Missouri 65-60

The Gamecocks reversed their fortune in late-game situations Tuesday night, making all eight of their shots (six free throws, two field goals) in the final three minutes to hold off Missouri (7-17, 1-10 SEC) in a 65-60 win. Playing with a shortened roster of guards with the absence of Justin McKie and Marcus Stroman, Carolina (12-11, 3-8) used 32 bench points to keep the Tigers from completing the comeback.
