Rutgers Wins At Clemson 69-64

The Tigers went over five minutes without a field goal inside the final six minutes Monday in a 69-64 loss to Rutgers in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. The loss dropped Clemson to 4-3 overall and improved the Scarlet Knights to the same record.

Spurrier Will Be Back In 2015

Monday the Head Ball Coach confirmed to several media outlets that he will be back for the 2015 season. This news coming off a disappointing 6-6 season as the head football coach at South Carolina, his 10th year in Columbia.

Morris Officially Accepts SMU Job

Chad Morris, Clemson offensive coordinator the last four years, has been named Head Football Coach at Southern Methodist University. Morris had been in charge of the Clemson offense since 2011 and helped the program to a 41-11 record, including 27 wins against ACC opposition. The Clemson offense established 127 school records during his time with the program, 89 individual marks and 38 team records.

Three Tigers Earn 1st Team All-ACC Honors

Clemson defensive players Vic Beasley, Grady Jarrett and Stephone Anthony all were named first-team All-ACC according by the ACC Sports Media Association on Monday. It is the first time since 2010 that Clemson has had three first-team selections on the defensive side of the ball.

Wilson Earns SEC Weekly Honors

South Carolina guard/forward A’ja Wilson earned her first SEC Freshman of the Week honor, the league office announced today. The Heathwood Hall product was the team’s top rebounder and second-highest scorer last week, helping the Gamecocks to the Junkanoo Jam Lucaya Division title.
