Succop Signs With Titans

Veteran kicker Ryan Succop has agreed to a one-year deal with the Tennessee Titans, who chose to go with experience rather than an undrafted rookie.

Agent Joel Turner said Monday that the former Gamecock Succop is happy with a “very good opportunity in a fine organization.”

The Titans announced the move Monday, saying they have waived kicker Travis Coons to create a roster spot.

Shaw Signs With Browns Practice Squad

Connor Shaw officially has a job in the NFL.

A day after failing to make Cleveland’s 53-man roster, Shaw cleared waivers and signed with the Browns practice squad.

USC’s all-time winningest quarterback played in two games this preseason. The undrafted rookie completed 8 of 9 passes for 123 yards and a 45-yard hail mary touchdown at Washington.

Practice squad players make up the scout team during the week and aren’t eligible to play in NFL games unless moved to the active 53-man roster.
