USC Pushes Back Start Of Spring Practice

Temperatures in the 30s caused Carolina football to postpone the start of spring practice. The Gamecocks were supposed to have the first of 15 spring practices Tuesday afternoon. That workout was cancelled Tuesday morning. No make-up date has been announced.

Lexington-Blythewood Baseball Now On Wednesday

Due to potential bad weather, the 3rd-ranked Lexington baseball team’s season opener against No. 2 Blythewood as part of the Red Bank Invitational (RBI) hosted by White Knoll High School has been moved to a 7:30 p.m. start on Wednesday. The opener was slated for Thursday.

Men’s Hoops Hosts No. 1 Florida Tuesday On Senior Night

South Carolina hosts No. 1 Florida for the second matchup between the two teams this season. The Gators won the first contest 74-58 in Gainesville, Fla., on Jan. 8. It marks the fourth time in Carolina’s history that it has hosted a No. 1 ranked opponent and its first since 2012. The game will air on ESPNU.

Gamecocks Dominate Coaches SEC Awards

With four of the six individual awards, three all-conference spots, two entries on the all-defensive team and one all-freshman selection, regular-season champion South Carolina dominated the coaches’ vote for SEC awards announced by the league office today.
