Jadeveon Clowney thinks he should still be the #1 overall NFL draft pick despite a disappointing statistical season at USC in 2013. Clowney took time out from training Thursday for a radio interview on The Dan Patrick Show.

SEC Television Package Includes Eight South Carolina Baseball Games

The South Carolina baseball team will have eight games televised this year as a part of the 2014 Southeastern Conference television package announced Thursday afternoon by the league office. Televised games include two home games vs. Alabama and a home game vs. Missouri as well as road contests at Kentucky, at Arkansas, at Georgia and two games at Auburn.

South Carolina Baseball Weekend Scrimmage Schedule

The South Carolina baseball team will continue team practice this weekend at Carolina Stadium with three scrimmages this weekend open to the public. Friday’s scrimmage is set for 4 p.m. with Saturday’s scrimmage at 1 p.m. Sunday’s scrimmage is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.

USC Comes Up Short Against Auburn 75-71

South Carolina battled back from a 16-point deficit midway through the second half, but the Gamecocks (8-14, 1-8 SEC) suffered a 79-74 loss to Auburn (11-9, 3-6 SEC) in SEC play on Wednesday night at Colonial Life Arena. Senior guard Brenton Williams led Carolina with 29 points in the contest, hitting 10-of-14 from the field, including 6-of-10 from 3-point range. Chris Denson and KT Harrell led the Tigers with 25 points each in the game.
