USC’s Staley Kicks Off Shoe Drive

USC women’s basketball coach Dawn Staley kicked off a shoe drive Monday for her non-profit organization, “InnerSole.” The charity aims to put shoes on homeless children and children in need in the Midlands.

Gamecocks Make The Grade In The Classroom

University of South Carolina student-athletes continued to showcase their success in the classroom, as they ended the Spring 2013 semester with a 3.198 grade point average, surpassing the 3.0 plateau for the 13th consecutive semester, it was announced today.

Gamecocks, Lattimore Honored by SEC for Sportsmanship

University of Georgia junior tennis student-athlete Maho Kowase and the University of South Carolina and University of Tennessee football teams are recipients of the 6th annual SEC Sportsmanship Award, the conference office announced Monday. The winners will be forwarded for nomination to the NCAA for its national sportsmanship awards, to be announced in July.

Blowfish To Host “Bark In The Park” Sunday

The Blowfish are inviting fans to bring their dog to the ballpark for free Sunday. Fans are also invited to take part in the pre-game doggy parade on the field at 5:45 p.m. The Blowfish will take on Florence at 6:05 p.m. at Capital City Stadium.
