Rep. James Clyburn, South Carolina’s only Democrat in Congress, had high praise for California Gov. Gavin Newsom as he swung through the Palmetto State.
At a press conference inside the Statehouse Thursday morning, Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon, Saluda County Sheriff Josh Price, and Chester County Sheriff Max Dorsey say they’re endorsing Wilson.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom on Tuesday launched a two-day tour of South Carolina, calling on voters across rural areas — some tucked in GOP strongholds — to exercise their “moral authority” in standing up to President Donald Trump and Republicans in next year’s midterm elections.
“It’s as different as daylight and darkness. Liberalism or illiberalism. Rights being regressed or a world that can be transformed. Fighting for the future or putting America in reverse,” says California Governor Gavin Newsom.
“Need an abortion? California is ready to help,” reads the billboard with a Bible verse at the bottom that reads, ” Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no greater commandment than these.” The billboard was paid for by the campaign for California’s Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom.
