Lisa James, Associate Chief Nursing Officer for Prisma’s Parkridge location, says the new “Hercules Patient Repositioning Technology” allows a single nurse to reposition a patient safely — in less than ten seconds.
In June, when seconds counted, the Prisma Health Richland Stroke team was there for their 99-year-old patient, Hazel Presnell, who suffered a stroke. The team administered fast treatment and a clot-busting drug, putting her on the road to recovery.
The duck helps comfort children going through cancer or sickle cell treatment.
Summer officially arrives on Thursday, and with the season comes high temperatures.

This week families and kids fighting cancer have the chance to have some fun and de-stress.
