The 4th annual “Victims Matter Rally” took place at the Statehouse this morning, with survivors of violent crime and loved ones of those lost to violence in attendance.

“We just want to move on, and we want a better life for ourselves and a better life for our children. And if it means getting our children protection and letting them move on and not go through all the mental torment they go through, I will fight. I will stand my ground, I’m not going anywhere,” she says.
“Victims have the right to be notified. They have the right to be present. They have the right to be heard at bonds at hearings, and we see far too often that those laws that are constitutionally based, are not upheld,” says Ford.
