Florence man gets 20 years for killing brother
FLORENCE, S.C. (AP) — A Florence man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for shooting and killing his younger brother last summer.
The Morning News of Florence reported that 59-year-old Bobby Marion Shaw was sentenced Monday for the shooting last August at their mother’s home.
Fifty-four-year-old Robert Leon Shaw was killed following a heated argument about a telephone charger.
Bobby Marion Shaw originally was charged with murder. Prosecutors allowed him to plead guilty to voluntary manslaughter at the request of his mother and surviving brother.
