JetBlue increases checked bag fees

(CNN)– JetBlue says it has raised its checked bag fees again, this time by about $5.

They’re now at least $50 for many fare classes.

The carrier says people who fly during peak times or check luggage at the last minute could pay more.

Bags remain free for JetBlue passengers in certain fare classes.

Some cardholders and loyalty program members also get the perk.

JetBlue is one of several carriers that said they raised fees after the Iran War pushed up fuel prices.
