COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — For the past year, Tina Bonaparte’s life has been consumed by questions surrounding the death of her youngest brother, Rodney Williams. “It has been horrific, it has caused moments of loss of time because you just kind of go into trying to fill in the blanks about how. Trying to imagine how somebody could hit him and leave him,” says Bonaparte. Around 2:00 a.m. on the morning of April 24, 2010, William’s body was found on the north bound ramp to I-77. South Carolina Troopers say Williams was the victim of a hit and run accident. The South Carolina Highway Patrol also says Williams was at Rick’s Party Shop on Bluff Road the night he died. His car was left in the parking lot, yet it was not disabled leaving officials to wonder why he left walking. Monday they set out once again looking for answers in the case and they are asking for your help. “We want someone to come forward, maybe something happened here at Rick’s Party Shop prior to him leaving. Anybody that was here may have saw him here or may know why he just left without driving his car away from here,” says Trooper Judd Jones with the SCHP. Those are the same questions that keep Bonaparte up at night. Bonaparte can only hope that those answers will come so that she along with her family can find peace. “I don’t know that we’ll get closure, but we will definitely be able to get some answers and then we’ll be able to cope better with it. We’ll be able to find some emotional peace,” says Bonaparte. The family of Rodney Williams is now offering an additional $1,000.00 reward in the case to anyone who has information that leads to an arrest. If you have any information you are asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIMESC.
