First In South GOP Primary Has Funding

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — South Carolina’s first in the South Republican presidential primary has funding and operational questions popping up. The state Election Commission wants the state attorney general to clarify that the commission can conduct the 2012 presidential primary after a budget compromise last week made it unclear how the primary would be run and financed.
