COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — A University of South Carolina law professor weighs in on the aftermath of the Casey Anthony verdict. Now that A court official says Casey Anthony is going to be released from jail next Wednesday following her conviction for lying to authorities who were investigating the death of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee, a local legal expert says Anthony’s legal troubles are far from over. USC Law Professor, Kenneth Gaines, believes trying to move on will be difficult for Anthony. He says while her criminal struggle is over, civil struggles face her. He believes her parents, a nanny who was named in the criminal and a volunteer who spent some $112,000 to search for Caylee Anthony are among those who could file civil lawsuits against Casey Anthony. Anthony’s lawyer has said he fears for her life upon her release from prison. To see the full story, click on the video player icon.
